Prior to co-founding SitePoint, Don held senior executive corporate development roles at several publicly traded ambulatory and post-acute healthcare companies, all of which focused on creating equity joint ventures/partnerships with not-for-profit and for-profit hospitals and health systems.
His decades of experience understanding the unique issues encountered by health care providers, having created successful operating joint ventures in both post-acute and ambulatory care across with country, brings a one-of-a-kind insight to our team.
Don’s corporate development experience across a broad range of transactions covers joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raising; including strategic advisory, design, development and construction, and operations of Acute Rehabilitation Hospitals, LTAC Hospitals, and free-standing emergency rooms, among others. Don holds a BS in Finance from Penn State, and a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.

Healthcare first piqued Kevin’s interest when he was a teen volunteer at the Orange, CA hospital where he was born. After working as an ambulance EMT for many years, Kevin chose to continue his healthcare career by becoming a RN, providing care in such settings as Trauma ICU, Emergency Room, Trauma Room, and Post-Surgical units. He has been an advocate for patients and their families as a bedside RN, as well as an advocate for his staff as a Charge Nurse, Director, Chief Nursing Officer, and Vice President.
Kevin earned his Master’s in Healthcare Innovation from Arizona State University and is one of a small few in the nation to hold this degree. Combined with a nursing degree, public speaking degree, and organizational leadership degree, Kevin brings a unique perspective and approach to clinical integration and innovation.
Kevin has served as a clinical and professional advisor on several healthcare boards, been published in various journals, and speaks nationally at conferences on patient engagement and clinical integration and innovation.
As an entrepreneur, Rick has formed and helped build several ventures from the ground up. This includes co-founding and growing First Choice Emergency Room (FCER) as its CEO from a small startup to becoming the nation’s largest network of independent freestanding emergency rooms. Under Rick’s leadership as CEO and Chairman, FCER went public in 2014 and grew to more than 3500 employees and over 100 locations in 5 states and over $2.5 billion in market cap. Rick now focuses on identifying new ventures as CEO of Covert Investment Opportunities, which manages a variety of holdings and investment prospects on behalf of his family and business partners.
Some of these ventures include TruDerm, which provides patients with easier access to dermatology services, and SitePoint Healthcare Partners that helps health systems and providers select locations and assets and many other investments of various sizes. He is also an owner and investor of Vista Bank and serves on the board as well as spending considerable time mentoring and investing in start-ups and entrepreneurs.

As Executive Vice President of the nation’s leading provider of independent freestanding emergency rooms, fellow SitePoint co-founder David Pyle broadened Adeptus’ geographic footprint by 700% during his three-year tenure. He and his team opened more than 100 new locations and expanded to new markets in Colorado, Arizona, and Louisiana that included community hospitals and hospital satellite ED’s.
David also served as Vice President of Operational Services at Surgery Partners LLC after it acquired NovaMed, Inc. At Surgery Partners, he was responsible for various surgical center operations including multiple single and multi-specialty centers, the supply chain for 50 ASC’s and 16 physician practices, and the entire non-surgical corporate portfolio. Prior to transitioning to healthcare, he was Director of Operations for a $320M luxury retail operation, overseeing 21 locations in seven states.
David holds a MBA from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business and a BA in Management from Baylor University.
As a tenured c-level executive in multiple large healthcare systems, Robert joined SitePoint as a Senior Advisor. For the last 40 years, Robert has lead healthcare providers in the strategic operation of everything from planning and policy to negotiating and executing the merger of a major healthcare system.
His experience and decades of operational leadership allow him the unique privilege of understanding the current consumer shifts in experience and what this means for healthcare locations.
Robert holds an MBA in Health Services Administration from the Executive Graduate Program at the Canadian School of Management and a BA in Accounting and Finance from the University of West Florida.
Zack Montana began his career at Goldman Sachs & Co. (NYSE: GS) in the Investment Banking Division, focused on Commercial Real Estate Finance, CMBS origination, underwriting, and securitization. Zack worked on and underwrote over $5.0 billion worth of commercial real estate transactions, collaborating with many of the most sophisticated real estate firms across the nation.
In 2015, Zack left Goldman to expand the origination efforts of the Philadelphia based RAIT Financial Trust (NYSE: RAS) by opening a regional office in Dallas, Texas. Zack focused on bridge lending for the reposition of existing assets and the construction of new developments, as well as managing all property level underwriting, asset management and construction draws for the Dallas team’s production. During his tenure at RAIT, he handled the property level underwriting and/or asset management of approximately $1 billion of assets throughout the nation.
In 2018, Zack left RAIT and founded Boulder Peak Capital. Boulder Peak focuses on the acquisition, repositioning, and development of commercial and multifamily assets.
It was this impressive and comprehensive background that motivated SitePoint to recruit Zack to assist and advise the SitePoint team in March of 2018. Along with his real estate capital markets and development expertise, Zack provides SitePoint and SitePoint’s clients with immediate access to industry experts throughout the nation and across several different disciplines.
